This blog is a whimsical look at my life and all the things in it. Although there may be possibly serious topics discussed, I will never get too serious ... don't want to kill the mood. The title of the blog is in homage to one of my favorite comedians/actors, Eddie Izzard, who can make me laugh even when life has dealt me a severe blow.
I know this because ... my brother, a young 48 year old, husband to a great wife and father of 3, lost a very short battle to cancer just a few weeks ago. Between diagnosis and death was just about a month, but it was hellish. After the funeral, who was attended by a large group of my brothers friends - and many of mine - we were discussing Monty Python/British comedy, and I asked one of my dearest friends from high school if she had heard of Eddie. She had not, so another friend - thanks to a very useful iPhone and You Tube - found the video of Eddie and the Death Star Cantina skit. It made me and both friends laugh and laugh and laugh. A very needed guffaw. Thank you, Mr. Izzard.
So, here's to life and not taking it so seriously all the time. I hope you enjoy my writings and feel free to comment, debate and discuss.
